Oil Painting Classes-advice on oil supplies

When you start to learn to oil paint, it can be easy to spend a fortune on supplies to paint oil. It is not really necessary. In my oil painting classes I show people how we can get great effects without skinting!

Plupart magazines, books and videos that I have read or seen always say that you should buy the best equipment you can. It does not matter if you can afford it, personally, I am a working man with a mortgage and bills to pay. Most people have a budget and I would like to share with you how I managed to balance the bills and my hobby.

Canvas

Tarp course can be purchased at art and craft shops, but have a look around, I recently purchased small paintings the local pound store (small store where all items cost one pound sterling in the UK). Tell your friends and family you will be surprised how often people contact me to tell me that the shop had canvas boards offer!

Oh, and if you do use an art shop on a regular basis to ask them if they will give you some Reduction student, I asked and they gave me 20% of all my purchase. You can also

Paint on plywood, MDF board, and even wood. If you buy a large DIY store, they even ways to reduce the size for you. Rather than buying small pieces, buy one large piece and getting them to reduce that this will save you money.

All these surfaces must be prepared properly, you must rub them with sandpaper and then apply the base coat. Get a medium sandpaper to rub off until you can not feel any "catch" and then put on your base layer (see below).

Basecoats Many

Artists who use Gesso is a chalk white liquid, gesso has been used for centuries by painters. The disadvantage is that it is quite expensive!

Personally I use acrylic primer / undercoat. Available from stores decorators, it is water-based and dries very quickly. I usually put on six coats, gently rubbing with sandpaper to remove any feathers in between each layer.

Oil Paintings

Oil paint that I use are sold in 38ml, I buy students the quality of paint because they approximately 3.00 a tube sometimes more depending on the color. I found Rowney be pretty good in terms of price and pigments. Artists

Quality oil could reach as high as 12.00 a tube. That's because the use of pigments, they are purer. However, for purposes of recreation, you should not make a difference.

Brushes

I bought cheap brushes and the average price ranged brushes and to be quite honest have found no difference in use. Fil

the years I have collected tens of brushes, but, at best, never use about six to finish a painting, and one of those who is a fan used to brush soften the edges. If possible

Buy student or midpriced brushes, they will be more than adequate in terms of quality.

Pallets Pallets

Are sold in different forms and sizes oblong, round, and kidney shaped, in many materials, plastic, wood and so, I tried all and while the kidney shaped ones are very artists, everyday use I find heavy and bulky. The problem with good palletes is you also have to spend half an hour cleaning. Now, I do not know you but I can not be bothered, I have a life and a bit more time to spend painting. I do not want to spend my time cleaning and scraping.

So my personal choice is to use disposable plastic plates white, the kind used in the parties. The white helps me to see the exact color that I mix and when I finished I remove them, easy huh?

Diluants

Pure Artist turpentine is made of pine and is sold in small bottles in art shops. That is about 3.00 for a small bottle.

Buying turps substitute for a 1 a bottle, I mostly use it to clean my brushes not mince my painting. / P>

mid-And I am not talking about Doris Stokes

Mediums are used to thin oil paint and make some beautiful glazes, the way that I use is Liquin Originally, it is Great in the use and also helps the paint to dry quickly. People often ask why not use your diluents to the diluent. You will find that this pigment make it less strong, and does not provide your painting with depth to get glazing.

Available from art centers in small and large bottles (brilliant reactions), and much less expensive than buying pure turps.

I think that covers most of the standard supplies you need.

Be trend! Start a Book Club!

Book Clubs are connected!

Thanks to Oprah and her cult following, book clubs and reading groups are in vogue. And why not? For those who love to read, there's no better than discovering a new book or an author that you have never read, and who meet every month with friends to talk about your reading experience. Throw in some good food, good wine and a warm, and that the flow of the conversation!

But is it really that easy? I have already spoken to several people who have tried to make a book club without much success. People lose interest, or there are personality conflicts, or they are not engaged in reading the book that has been selected. Groups may be too big or not big enough. So what are the ingredients of a good book club?

Size Matters: You do not want your club to be too small. If you are under about 6 people in your group, you may encounter some problems if people are sick or on vacation or too busy to read on a given month. You can also do not want more than 12, because it would be difficult to host a group of this size in the house of someone. It would also be difficult for each of their points and to participate. For good conversation, 8-12 members is ideal.

Like Minds: You may want to invite your best friend, but if it does LOVE books, should really register? Asking for READERS. You want people who are excited to see what the next selection, and can not wait to tear into it. Rticents readers will find it difficult to complete the book, and does not contribute much to your book club meetings.

I Do not Have Enough To Start A Friends Club: You do not want to necessarily all members of your club to be friends, or even get to know each other as a first step. A group of close friends will have a personal history and possible issues that could affect the dynamics of the book club in a negative way. Search for people from a variety of places: the parents of your children's friends, neighbors, work, church, etc. Once you have a core group, asking them to invite other. You want a good mix of people with different backgrounds and life experiences, but you wish they might not be as diversified as they do not have much in common.

Making decisions in advance: It is good To have guidelines or "rules cowards." Our group has decided to limit our selections VF, reduce costs, and to keep our selections approximately 400 pages right (although this rule we broke this month!) . We read mostly fiction, but are open to other things. We shoot each other meetings in homes, and we do potluck. In some clubs, that the host made all the food for this month. These elements may all be decided at the first meeting.

Decide on a method of selection of books: Some clubs on a rotating basis. Others are members make suggestions and then vote. Some groups hostess for the month to choose the book. Some extinguished book club lists or stick with Oprah. There are a variety of ways to do so. It is good to decide on a system at the beginning. Pick

Great Books! When it is your turn to choose a book, take the time to look and read reviews about it. Doing a little research so you can sell to the group. There is a good chance that you take a great book, if you have done your homework. Here are some ideas to help you get started: Book Club Picks 2007

Appoint a group leader: Generally, the person who launched the group. You would be the one to stay in touch with everybody, between meetings, send invitations for the next meeting (we do ours through evite.com), each with an upgrade or new changes, and keep people motivated to read the book! Designate a

Moderator: It may be the same person every time, or it can be the person who chose the book, but it would require someone to facilitate the conversation. It is important to have someone to do a bit of background research on the author and the book that has been selected. Unanswered questions (whether readinggroupguides.com, bookmovement.com, or other sources of information online, or the chief issues is the origin of) are obviously a starting point for discussions book. Your group may want to have each member make a discussion question for the band, or a favorite quote or director of the facility. Involve everyone as much as possible. The moderator should move along the conversation, giving everyone a chance to be heard, but also to know when not in the case of someone who spent too much time, or go off on a tangent personal. The book clubs are definitely social, but above all, we are here to discuss the book.

Eat! Drink! Enjoy! Our book club meetings would not be half the fun, without a lot of good food and wine. Sometimes we read the book lends itself to a theme, and we are going to bring food that goes with (ie Chinese food Snow Flower and the Secret Fan). In our group, everyone brings a dish to share, and we eat first. It is a great time to get to know each other better and talk about our lives before jumping in the book for discussion. And there is always chocolate for later.

Why Woodwork project downloads?

I suppose we

Wood are not always the most technologically sophisticated (I am the last person in the world that does not have a mobile phone?) . I know that some dash around the Internet, knowing exactly where they go and what they do, but I am not one of them.

On the other hand, I realize that the Internet a useful tool can be for wood. Ignoring it would ignore the change of hands with powerful tools for some people like doing it the old way, but for most of us it is perhaps more about the thing we do that the tool used to do it. The

Each month, it seems increasingly woodwork tool suppliers offer online ordering and trim scheme providers use the download route to deliver their plans. This is especially good if, like me, you live outside the United States and Canada. If I try to order a ground via the good old postal service I want to pay $ 5.00 or perhaps even for the model and then as much as $ 25.00 for delivery no good. However, if I order a pattern downloads I pay my $ 5.00 at the end of the story. I do not need to wait for three weeks to get to that either. I click a button or two, it was on my computer and I can print it out and be in the store a few minutes later.

Even if you live in the USA and Canada, where most of the woodwork Scheme suppliers are - they are cheaper, faster and easier to download order patterns.

So yes, I am a big fan of the woodwork patterns and books can be downloaded, but if you are one of those who is not sure to download your woodwork patterns, going take a look at a couple of objections that I have heard and see if there are any solutions.

1. Downloadable woodwork schemes are complicated and confusing to get at.

I agree, sometimes. Unfortunately this is just one of those things. Some websites are put together well, some are not so good, but it is the Internet. Suppliers are increasingly turning more aware of what they must do to make it more simple and clear and, in recent months, a number of well-known sites have been redesigned. On the other hand, there are sites that have been built from scratch for downloads in mind and they are clear, quick and easy to use. I guess we just have to be patient until the rest catch up!

2. The schemes are of poor quality. Rarely

. OK, but it usually occurs you will find they are either accurate copies of the printed traditional or digital, but are drawn specifically for downloading. Of course, they have not delivered on heavyweight paper trace some of whom are traditional structures, but how much extra you pay for it? Many reputable sites

Offer a free download so you can check the quality for yourself. I also found that the best model woodwork suppliers will speed refunds if you are not happy, I can not imagine happen if you are not satisfied with your model posted.

3. If I need to print my woodwork modes myself it costs as much as if I purchased version posted.

I can not speak on behalf of all cases, but I would say it is not true. The difference in price between the traditional woodworking plans and download plans is often much more than the cost of a few sheets of paper and then there's the cost of shipping and handling to be added.

There are also other things Consider. When you buy a print that you received a copy. If you want more, you must go to the store-copy extra expense. With a downloadable woodwork model he saw on your computer. If you want a printed copy only on each other. Depending on your PC printer you can also print usually larger or smaller. Consider in the store and he does nothing about spilled glue on it (or my favorite, coffee) has printed another. Do not worry about the store, you can always print another!

Painting-painting technique Negative Space

When using acrylic, you can add layers of color to increase the clear definition of a zone pale. But another option is to paint in the area to highlight the negative pale area.

This is a very good technique and can make your paintings more interesting. It is also an easy way to add details to a flat area of color.

Painting the area behind the object in this way, it offers an opportunity to improve the shape of the object and gives the principal objective of a more defined.

What is negative space? If it negative space is the space left after you have ignored / removed an object.

There are some classic negative space photos. My favorite is two heads facing each other and the space between them giving the form of a long-stemmed glass. The negative space is the form of glass. How do

Always try to light and the contrast in the dark areas of an image. When you have such a contrast, it is easy to paint in some areas negative because one of the adjacent sections will be in a darker color.

(I think it is more fruitful to paint in negative zones with a darker color, but if you want to try to use a light color over a darker be sure to use more paint thick.)

A landscape, for example painting in a dark color (pale Behind a) to the top of the zone pale irregular; What makes the look more pale field as the grass.

In this example, skin color is darker negatively to the area behind the grasses. Then, the mixture of the dark negative space using water to be clarified. Leaving to one side dark side of the pale, you get a contrast too. Use this technique

To add to the definition of all areas you feel needs. It would be good for the region darkening to the side of a tree trunk and the branch to stand out a little more. Ideal for the trunk of a silver birch, just add a little more dark shades of the zone on the side of the trunk, trunk to give more contrast and it helps make the trunk more in three dimensions . It

East ideal for forest paintings as you can allude to other trees in the background without giving them too many details.

High Council - the biggest contrast areas are always in the foreground of a picture. Make sure you have the contrast between the colors suited to the distance in the paint, that is not too much contrast with those areas of the distance.

Ways To Make Child Halloween Crafts Safe and Fun

Halloween can be an extremely fun time to spend with your kids doing some child Halloween crafts together. Preparing Halloween costumes, accessories and makeup for your kids can be exciting. But because you are making these for your kids, safety should also be in mind to keep the Halloween season enjoyable and a memorable one.

Keep it mind, however, that child Halloween crafts must be safe and suitable for toddlers to 12-year-old kids. Use non-abrasive/harsh materials. Instead, make sure to use hypoallergenic makeup and glitter specifically made for a child's sensitive skin. Abrasive/harsh materials you should avoid include tin foils, hard plastic from cutout objects (otherwise, you should file the sharp edges), pointed accessories, and twigs with splinters.

Avoid using adult makeup as these are made of stronger makeup components that can easily irritate a child's skin. Practice safe child Halloween crafts preparations and make your own Halloween makeup at home. Homemade Halloween makeup often does not cause allergic reactions because it is just made of cornstarch, corn syrup, food coloring and water. However, you can always do a patch test first.

Consider always the safety of your child when buying materials for child Halloween crafts. When using glitter don't buy the regular ones used for paper. These can be abrasive to both the skin and eyes and therefore can cause inflammation and reddening. Go to a specialty or makeup store instead and look for products that state "body glitter" or "face glitter".

Be careful when choosing household materials for your child Halloween crafts session. For accessories use cardboard instead of tin foil or cutout hard plastic. If your child is going to run around with a tin foil or cutout plastic star on a wand, the pointy edges could accidentally end up in the eye. Use cardboard or Styrofoam instead. You can wrap these in silver kitchen foil or glitter for that brilliant sheen. You can also spray-paint them with silver, gold or other metallic colors.

There are a variety of child-safe costumes sold in specialty shops for use in child Halloween crafts. If you're going to make a costume together with your child, it might be a good idea to put away those needles and use no-sew costumes for your child Halloween crafts idea. If you're going to buy a costume, make sure it is easily detectable from afar (in case your child gets lost), flame-resistant, and can fit well on your child so he/she doesn't trip.

Your child can come dressed as The Sleepwalker, which only requires your child to wear PJ's and set of curlers; you can also think of any character with a cape, such as superman or batman, which only requires you to attach a cape and a mask. You can create masks simply with a paper plate and garters.

Making child Halloween crafts both fun and safe for your kids doesn't have to be a difficult task. First think of safe materials and work around those using your imagination to create distinctive Halloween themes and styles.

Finding pieces-How to optimize your metal detector

In this article, we will give you some advice on the hunt for coins and other treasures with your metal detector. It seems

I get a lot of questions about how to recognize a good shot or it is undesirable.

There are all different types of metal detectors. Each has its own design, but most consist of the same electronics. It is nice to have a discriminator so that you can eliminate bottle caps and pull tabs, but you can miss nickels rings and your way of setting clear caps and tabs.

Here are some simple tips to help identify the different points. Obviously

Become familiar with your detector. Take a series of coins (cents, nickel, dime, quarter, half), and a ring of gold or silver, bottle ring tab. The rings may be the right type. Bury each at different depths. Burying far enough apart so that you do not get the readings from two different sources.

Use your metal detector and slowly on each item. Note each type of sound you hear. Also record depth. If you have a discriminator do the same thing. Test different parameters of how far you can go to eliminate caps and tabs and not eliminate the nickels and rings. You try to recall the types of sounds for each item.

Depending on the model and type of detector you have, it is very possible when you listen to the caps and labels, you can also adjust the nickels And some rings. That's where tones and sounds can remember missing are very instrumental step in the right finds. Tabs traction generally giving a double blow tone as you pass it.

I hope you find some value here. This information may seem basic, but I think that you understand the importance of learning from your detector and its capabilities.

Building nest according to the specifications, placing them in the "best" and the preservation of the habitat houses regularly can benefit both the birds and us. However, if not properly constructed and placed, you may have no visitors at all. Here are the ten most important things you need to know about building birdhouses.

# 2-Do not put on a perch birdhouse. Only house sparrows and European starlings prefer perches. If you have a house with a pole, remove the pole.

# 3 - Provide a hinge side or roof of the house so can be easily checked and cleaned each season.

# 4-At least four 1 / 4 inch diameter drain holes should be drilled in the bottom of each home and at least two 1 / 4 inch holes must be drilled up the right and left sides of all bird houses to provide ventilation. The exceptions are the duck boxes and winter roost boxes. Provide adequate ventilation is particularly important for small bird houses.

# 5 - The top edge of a bird house overhang should at least two inches to help protect the entrance hole-driven rain, and keep the cats from visiting to top. Use galvanized nails to build houses only if necessary, but remember that as they untied wood Dilate and contracts in extreme climatic conditions.

Exterior finishes are a matter of personal preference. In fact unfinished structures made of cedar, redwood, pine, spruce or outside the plywood turn gray and last for years. The simplest, better! If you want a book colored, semi-transparent stain base oil is better. They penetrate the wood. Only one application will last for three years, on a smooth surface on a rougher. Tips for improving Carrom

Carroms The origin of the game is still unclear. He is well liked in Asia and is played well with family and friends. It is a game of fun and rules are set aside to a minimum. In the early days there were no written rules in effect and everything was handwritten by word of mouth. All games must be played with the sole ground of enjoyment. As with all other games of the competition creeps in. You willingness to show that you are better than the other person playing the game However, if you are the loser all the time, then you lose importance of carrom.

In the UK, Carrom has recently begun to gain popularity and competitions are taking place at all levels. To a greater extent the rules are introduced as set deadlines between plans; Do not talk to your challenger in case you defer; Do not be competent to defend himself during a game to extend your legs; Do not being able to shout and jump in the air when you are unbeaten after a shot so delicate Adjust your movement towards the game depending on whether you are in a contest or for the pleasure of playing with friends. There are different ways of flicking the attacker with one of your fingers. Try each one and then choose the technique that suits you best. You can find the latest move that could benefit your style on your accuracy.

Whatever technique you select two things are important. The first is your stable striking transmit the carom gear aboard with the base / tip of the palm, and / or thumb, and / or non-strikers fingers. This means that the striker is not touched and moved. The other thing is striking to confirm your finger is as close as you could at the attacker, touching if possible. As a result of pushing forward without touching your finger. If the finger is away from the attacker, when you flick your fingernail it hits the striker who simply can cause pain in the finger. If you get more pain than pleasure in this game, I do not think you should desire to continue to play, otherwise it is the most brilliant game to be played for fun.

Crewel Embroidery-two cultures combined in a single art form

Crewel embroidery is a type of needle that uses crewel yarn, which is actually a woolen yarn twisted. This rather thick wire is used to create very complex and elaborate drawings.

It was a time when Britain was constantly trade in goods with India, and many crewel embroidery Indian fans began to incorporate elements in their embroidery.

Typical of a crewel embroidery pattern of this age would be composed of objects of nature such as trees and living creatures. These are models that the French have acquired Indian culture.

At the same time, people from India have also begun to show an interest in crewel embroidery. They have developed their own models that are largely based on the patterns they have seen in English. This combination of two very different cultures in a single art form is one of the many things that make crewel embroidery so extraordinary and special.

Before long, the popularity of crewel embroidery reached the coasts of the United States. The nature of the modes that are so French also likes became prevalent in America crewel embroidery. However, the topic of the needle is more about the animals of the forest which are most frequent on the land of America, such as rabbits and deer.

Reason for the thickness of yarn, crewel embroidery can be quite heavy. Thin tissue simply can not support the weight of the thread, so that a thicker and more durable type of equipment is necessary if you want to make your own crewel embroidery project.

Typically, heavy cotton or linen will be able to manage the mass of the crewel yarn. If you want to use the types of soft cloth such as flannel, satin or chiffon, then perhaps it is better to make a more delicate nature of the needle on these materials.

There are also needles that you have to Buy if you want to start doing crewel embroidery. These needles have a bigger eye that can accommodate the thickness of the crewel yarn, and their edges are much stronger than regular embroidery needles.

Crewel embroidery not having too many rules when he 's acting on the implementation of the design. How to implement your design is really up to you. You can use any type of sewing you love so make sure the design at the end.

Candle making supplies

Selection of a supplier If you are looking for supplies of candles, there are many reputable people on the web. We worked with suppliers of candles online for years and have found more to be pretty good, but we have our favorites.

The first thing to do is to compare prices. When you compare the prices make sure you compare apples with apples. Not all waxes, perfumes, dyes and wicks are created equal and the number of times you get what you pay for. We learned the hard way. You can not go through a fancy name and expect them to have higher quality products. So buyers beware as they say. After making your comparison shopping, find out where the supplier. Generally, the more a candle-making supplier is located, the better. If the supplier is close to you, then most of the time the delivery is less expensive. But be aware of minimum shipping costs. We have found in some cases, the suppliers that are farthest actually costs less to ship.

What matters most is the bottom line dollar and product quality. The bottom line is the dollar amount you paid for the product, including the shipping charges. If you make candles to sell, it is a very important factor. You must remember that you must add shipping costs you were charged in the total price when your products.

Times that you found a supplier who carries the product that you think to use, then see if they carry samples of their products. Some will send samples for free. Others you may incur. The point about this command is not something you will be sorry for, ie for candles perfume, which costs more than $ 400.00, which is not a major cost factor, if you happen to love perfumes. It is not pleasant to be misled by the name and testimony, which is why the purchase of the first sample is a good idea.

Right now our supplies come from all corners of the United States. Why? Because we want high-quality, good price, good customer service and a supplier who has a good inventory. We will pay more for shipping to get a higher product.Of course of buying in bulk almost always ensures a better pricing. But if you are unsure of the company or their products, not to buy in bulk!

Unfortunately, over the years, vandals have destroyed all buildings and destroyed the place. The old ball has since increased by more than brush. It took us some time to find out where we thought that the elders were bleachers. We started searching on the ground were the bleachers before. I was astonished, we found many coins; Some were visible on the top of the soil. We looked at about 2 to 3 hours, and have won some nice pieces of silver. Also found an old light bracelet, silver spoons. All have been more than 40 years.

We found the places located in the older age are more valuable when it comes to coins. We have repeatedly mentioned the importance of research can be when it comes to finding the gems. If your not in the region or who have not lived very long time to locate an area of town that looks like the old, it houses. Visit local business establishments. The market for local food, restaurants, gas stations, etc. If you see an elderly person to ask them about the region. Do they know ere some older schools or old fairgrounds are located. A soggy, foggy bird walk

It was one of those mornings where I just knew that I would be better to stay indoors. But instead of paying attention to my best judgment, I just had to take binoculars and off for the woods.

The rain had slowed to between mist and drizzle, just enough that the twins had to be protected. Gray scuttled cloud over his head, if the lighting conditions are not the greatest for watching birds. However, with the exception of raindrops, splashing on the leaves and drop drop dripping foliage, wood was still no other mop.

If you have not walked in the woods when it is wet from a recent shower, you should try. Often when the rain is over, or nearly so, it poses a misty mist or vapor that lends a forest surreal, almost ghostly appearance. It creates a separate and distinct atmosphere, a great experience serene.

Sons seem to amplify in the woods when the wood is wet. A plus for me because I suspect this bird walk will be 75% audio, and 25% visual. I enjoy the difficulty of identifying birds by the songs and calls of this fact, I thumbed my nose, unless the light favorable conditions and trampled. Rain

To cushion leaves my feet allowed to fall gently on the trail, this passage was my calm. This is an important consideration for a rainy day, because normally the steps and walking loom large noise and wear away, inside the forest. Too much noise warns birds of your approach and precise figures observed in disappointment.

As my ears grew accustomed to immobility, I began to hear a few rustles in the bushes. The movements were far too rapid and sustained to be made by the birds, so I was not surprised when a couple chipmunks tore through the road in front of me. As they lunged in the bushes, they surprised North Cardinal who hopped up in the jungle.

I was quietly that the bird flew to perch on a branch high, flicking its wings humidity. He began his smoothing feathers and although his bill in the shape of a cone seems awkward in appearance, it is a very good tool, and soon its feathers were smooth and smooth. His bright red plumage is a beautiful, showing, through the misty air. His face was distinguished black tallow in bold contrast to the bright red crest rising above the invoice.

If you live in the southwest, you may be more familiar with the Pyrrhuloxia, (Cardinalis sinualus), which is Near Northern Cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis). Both species bear a resemblance, sharing the lofty peaks, heavy conical bills, and the same general shape and size. Men Northern Cardinal is clear, bright red and female olive buffy, tinged with red on the crest, wings and tail. The Pyrrhuloxia is a gray bird with red in the face, crest, wings and tail, while the woman bears little or no red. Whichever species you are likely to see on your bird walk, he or she will have the pleasure to watch in the rain.

A little further on the runway, I noticed a rash of activity. Get closer, I identified a couple Gray Catbirds cleaning for insects. They seemed to play a waiting game by taking turns feeding. A catbird would dash, search the ground for a moment, to discover and tear of an insect, then go back in the bushes. Once the coast is clear, other catbird done the same exercise. Hmm, thinking I realize I suppose there were only two birds. Looking back, and they are considering all the same, would there have been three or four, even? I wish I had been more attentive!

As expected, I identified many more birds by ear as by the sight of this morning. Blue Jays have raised somewhere in the forest. On several occasions, I heard 'Thief! Thief! 'Typical door recriminations and their calls. They have been repeated at intervals of time, but fairly consistent. Downy Woodpeckers gave their insistent little 'hello' calls, Red-bellied woodpeckers were chortling, and a good number of American Robins could be heard doing their 'whinney' calls.

Several times during my walk, I heard Carolina Chickadees and Tufted Titmice. After a long they came in close, feeding low enough that I can see them as they dashed and darted through the leaves, mixing excited "to a chick-dee dee dee - with 'peter, peter, peter's'. I do not know about you, but I think the chickadees, titmice and nuthatches worth their weight in gold. They never fail to benefit those spirits. Do not you just love them?

The rest of my walk was mostly reruns of previous comments, but I did get binoculars blackbirds and torque peaks before my walk has been completed. In all, I was glad I ignored my better judgment and s 'ventures in the rain this morning. It was a good day birding. DAY THAT INCLUDED BIRD WATCHING IS A GOOD DAY, or at least that's my state of mind!

An Early History of knitting

Knitting is something we all know, but we know surprisingly little about when and where the art of hand knitting started. That's because the son of fibers are biodegradable. One thing we do know is that the oldest form of knitting (crossed knitting) has been practiced since before the birth of Christ. A pair of knitted socks found in Egyptian tombs from the 3rd to 6th centuries A.D. The oldest archaeological evidence of knitwear. The first knitting needle is a brass rod that goes back to the beginning of the Iron Age. Spinning the wool began around 4000 B.C. Near the Mediterranean. The first wool factory in England was built by the Romans in 50 A. D. The kind of knitting that we are not used to practicing until recently, however.

The oldest form of knitting is crossed knitting, also known as the single knitting needle and knitting nickname. In crossed knitting, stitches are collected half turn instead to align vertically. This method was developed by knitting very culture of Nazca in Peru (100 B.C.-A.D. 700) in the periphery of their woven fabrics. Frequent changes of color in these fringes were used to create human and animal figures.

The origins of knitting are difficult to find, but there are several theories. Some people believe that knitting started in Persia, others that began in Israel, Jordan and Syria. Still others believe it began in the mountains of North Africa, or Japan or China. Some people believe that knitting was born of the mesh nets of fish by men. Some

Socks and other items made at the crossroads of knitting technique has been found in Egyptian burials possibly dating as far back as the 4th or 5th century B.C. There were knitted socks found in Egyptian tombs (3rd and 6th centuries A.D., knitted pieces found at the Dura-Europas site near the Euphrates (around A.D. 200), and apparently sandal socks Saudi Arabia (about A.D. 350). However, it is possible that these socks were first worked in nalebinding; Who is an old boat, which often looks very similar to real knitting, and could be mistaken for the real knitting by archaeologists untrained in the history of D'needles. A pair of cotton socks in the grounds of Egypt, dating from A.D.1100 may be an example of the first "real" knitting or can be nalebinding too. Socks and stockings were the first items to be knitted as a result was perfectly suited to shape knitting clothing to fit the foot, at a time when the fabric and sewing woven fabrics were less flexible.

The Encyclopaedia Comprehensive Stitchery by Mildred Ryan Graves says that most historians agree that knitting was probably spread by (presumably male) Arabian sailors and merchants who traveled throughout the Mediterranean. Many people think that a knitting been invented by Arabian nomads who wore crafts in Egypt, probably in the 5th century AD Knitting was then transported across North Africa, and Spain. From Spain, Catholics travel recovered and spread rapidly across Europe.

It was not until the early 14th century that we have references to the first real knitting in Europe. At that time, purl stitch Was unknown, which means that to produce plain knitting, people had knit in the round, and then cut it open if they were. The first reference to purl stitch was not until the mid-16th century, but knowledge on how to It can have only small predecessors.

Although nobody knows exactly where began knitting true, it seems that knitting was probably spread by Arabian sailors and merchants who traveled across the pond Mediterranean. Then, of course, travel Catholics It quickly spread throughout Europe. True knitting, as we know, is a relatively new craft. Crafts like knitting true, such as knitting and nalebinding, however, have a very long history, dating back to before the birth of Christ. They were obviously practiced in many different countries and cultures also, from Japan to Egypt to Peru. Knitting clearly fills a need in people to make clothing that continues today, and more.

So yes, yes, I know people pick up things from the time of their childhood. And people collect things at the height of their homes ... Read, yada.

Short, I am sitting here, half of dizziness turbo lister crashes when sending my eBay listings and it struck me to write a blog about the strangest reason that people pick up things. Why not? I mean all of us, even those only partially known in the biz the most common reasons people collect, but what about that 3 to 5% of the collection of people who do not fit right. What about those who had practically given in a flap of the Bible Toungues when they see a rare shrunken head Walla Walla or a blank back version of a 1970 Topps baseball card ... What about those collectors.

Ok, now the first thing I want to say is that I did not write this for some of you out there might try to take advantage of these fiery collectors and completely separated From all their cash. Not just, not to be on the ground doing things you do not want done to you, Karma is not that.

In my years of the sale to the public, here are some of Strange reasons, at least in my opinion, why people collect what they do. Now, if you happen to gather for one of these reasons, I would like to say that A: To each their own, I am just looking for the unusual here to make a fun blog. And B, you are welcome to my bids at any time!

Without further ado, and in no particular order, here we go. Some people

Collect things because they are obsessive and compulsive completists. They may not absolutely have no holes in their collection of any kind whatsoever. If they collect mason jars, they have never made any kind, even your chances of finding a little stew with Gramma's' maters in them ... Because although they completists. (Those are stewed tomatoes, ... no?) On the one hand, it may be a boon for retailers to find these people to sell to pay because they are all fine if you have something that they n have not. On the other hand, because they are completists, they may well have one you want to sell, and they rarely or never picked up duplicates, not sales. Know your collection. Some people

Collect things that shock came from famous sites or tragedies. Yeah, I know, but that "just me and you feel this way. For them, this is part of history. Maybe they get a thrill living indirectly thinking points, chaining themselves someway in events unbelievable. Can you imagine having the ball which cost the life of Lincoln, or a copy of a decree to send troops abroad. Fragmente glass of Diana's Limousine. If all these things you do tremble, your not alone. But some people collect things like these items and often pay big bucks for an item to add to their collection. If you use this type of sensor in the maintenance of law and your moral boundaries are the challenges here. Some people

collect things they think are haunted. Similar to the status of the category I mentioned, but in his own field of collecting for sure. I am not sure if there was much of a market for products before haunted eBay. Remember that "Possessed" doll brought scandalous money? This eBay auction has sent tons of vendors scouring their homes, looking for Barbies, was close to the heater in the basement, or the GI hair shaved with you ... Yes, it seems haunted. Then you put it in place and it brings a 99 cent bid and you have to be delivered to Bulgaria. But why would someone pay mega bucks for the Ghost in a Jar, or haunted dolls, music boxes and other objects? Who knows?

Why collectionnez- you?

The history of beekeeping

Nobody knows when the first time that someone has thought of harvesting honey from the hives. We know that the art of beekeeping has been around for a long time. Archaeologists have discovered cave drawings representing the collection of honey. These caves have been found in Africa and in the eastern regions of Spain. Archaeologists believe that the cave drawings were created in 7000BC. Most of these photographs depict people scooping honey rocks and trees, but a few of them show images of the man standing unstung, in the midst of a swarm of bees. Scientist believe that these original inhabitants of the caves somehow learned that the smoke was an interesting impact on bees. Early

Artificial bee hives were made of pottery, clay vases and bowls, and baskets of straw resembled the trees and crevices of the rock What were the bees attracted by nature. Early beekeepers have learned to capture swarms of bees in these containers. Once the bees trapped proceeded to turn the containers in a hive of bees.

Proof that many ancient civilizations, such as the Myans, raised bees and their honey collected.

Fans of the Roman history Soaps that bees and honey played a role in Roman culture. The Goddess Mellona, is the protector of bees.

The Greeks also had great respect for honeybees. Mt Olympus, the home of Zeus, they sipped nectar provided by the gods (experts estimate that the nectar that the Greeks had been referred to honey). Greek mythology says that the bees are responsible for the construction of the second temple Apollo. When he wrote his book, The History of Animals, Aristotle wrote about how the bees were able to identify flowers.

In the period between 1500 and 1851 was an evolution of beekeeping. The first fundamental change in beekeeping happened in the late 1500's. It was at this time that the information has been learned about the life cycle of bees. Once beekeepers understood how they were bees live better able to deal with insect wings. Adjustments

Artificial hives started to take place. As beekeepers, passionate agricultural and scientists, yearned to learn more about the life cycle of bees, beekeepers seek ways to design a beehive that allow them to easily see inside the hive. An American

, Lorenzo Langstroth, designed the first portable hive of bees.

By the time 1850 arrived here European bees was introduced in California. After California honey bees were introduced to Oregon and Canada.

Starting Your Own Business beekeeping

Starting a Business beekeeping may seem exciting and fun, but in all reality it's a lot of work and a lot of time. Most people who are in this are doing it as a hobby. Having a hobby and livelihoods are two totally different because one is something you invest time and, in some cases, money and the other is when you try to make a living the address. Beekeeping is like agriculture, you have to stay on top of market demand and is technologically sophisticated because much of the company will depend on the speed with which you can produce a single product.

Yet that is where you 're going to learn that beekeeping is not even like that because if you intend to make a profit you would have had to have been in the undertaking for a long time and following market trends on what has demanded at the time. Today, if you do not even need a website consider yourself a fossil in business, because it is your only link with the rest of the world by having a site or even a page. Most

Companies are marketed today because small businesses of today are simply not equipped to cope with the mass production of honey and small businesses will not be given the fact that you are paid by the pound and the average amount after weighing all season isn 't a whole lot. Commercial beekeepers average of two thousand pounds, but farmers must really push production if they want to be an average of at least $ 15-30 per year. It is a highly competitive area from the sale of the production of honey and beeswax products from beekeeping industry is not working as a cooperative like many organic farmers are at a time when they work together beekeeping is under contract for the work, a lot of these small businesses are sub-contracted by large companies to produce honey under their label and their food.

Subcontracting, may seem good and everything, but you are also competing for these contracts as well with other small companies and the big risk is that you may lose your contracts if companies that hire you are not satisfied with something, for whatever reason, it might be the product quality to anything. That's why it is a risky business to get into because you never know what the results and how the market will be fair during the season because that's what the beekeeper financial basis their exit from what is the amount they plan to do on a Seasonal. Beekeepers have almost

to base their financial gains thanks to good weather and the season with the market demand, but you can not always predict good weather, which is what a lot of s' worry. They have more to fear that farmers because they can make a difference when they rain and the right climate less than the food they are increasingly. Beekeeping is dependent on the activity of bees and how they produce honey bees from occurring in certain climates and temperatures. If you expect to succeed in this understand that this is a lot of work and a lot of time invested in the achievement of this work for the longer term.

Packaging Your Honey

Large beekeepers can not turn a profit if they limit their market to their local community. Beekeepers who have several colonies must be able to sell their product at larger grocery stores and supermarkets if they want to remain financially solvent.

In order for beekeepers to sell their honey to a larger market their packaging must meet certain USDA standards.

The first thing beekeepers have to decide is what kind of container they want to use to hold their honey. The standard size of containers used to sell honey are measured in pounds. The typical amount of honey offered to the customers can be as small an amount as a half pound or as large as five pounds of honey. Some stores perfect to sell honey that is measured in gallons, these stores offer their customers the option of purchasing a container of honey as small as a half pint or as large as one gallon. If, as a beekeeper, you are attracted to novelty containers you can choose from a variety of fun containers such as skeps, bears, and plastic squeeze bottles.

Once you have settled on the perfect bottle for your honey you have to design an equally perfect label. Before you start designing a label for your honey check with your state government, most states have several laws and requirements about how labels appear on products. Make sure that the word honey is written in bold letters across the label. The word should stand out and really catch the casual shopper's eye. Most graphic designers recommend that the honey should run parallel with the container's base. Do not authorize a label if the design does not incorporate your name (or your farm's name) and your address. If you use a packing or distribution company their name and address must also be included on the label. The final thing that needs to be clearly printed on the label is the net weight of the honey. If the honey you are marketing weighs between one to four pounds then the weight has to be written in both pounds and ounces. The print size used to show the net weight is not random, the font size is determined by the size and shape of the container.

If you are a beekeeper who harvests your honey more then once a season you might be able to write what flavor of honey you are selling. You might have honey that is flavored with clover, alfalfa, or apple blossoms.

Labels that have words such as unfiltered, natural and raw refer to honey that has not been processed.

Beekeepers who have USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) grades printed on the label have passed a set of USDA grade standards. Honey that has a USDA grade of A has passed the exacting government standards. Honey that has a USDA grade of D has passed only a bare minimum of standards. The USDA grades honey based on the amount of moisture in the honey, clarity, flavor quality, and defects.

Honey Bees

Honey bees spend their entire lives pollination of flowers and honey. They use Bees gather pollen of flowers to create that honey bees use for food. Beekeepers are responsible for removing the honey bee and use for human consumption. After the beekeeper

raised honey bees, removed the wax plugs that bees use to seal the honey in the comb honey, and honey extraction of the honeycomb, it it's time to deal with the honey.

Are not all beekeepers have their process of honey. No honey is marketed with words like raw areanic, unfiltered, and natural printed on the label. The words are different words to say no. Beekeepers who choose to process their honey, it should be done as rapidly after extraction of honey as possible. The act of transforming the honey is to make sure the honey is heated and filtered. Treatment of honey is a sticky and hot, it is important that the person is patient and painstaking. The area where the treatment is going to be clean and free of insects. Before you start processing crop honey sure your equipment is dry. Honey absorbs water. Honey, which owes much to water, it will ferment. Beekeepers experienced

can watch a vat of honey and tell you what kind of flowers the worker bees who were attracted to the collection when they were pollen. They can do this by looking at the color of honey. The type of flowers the bees collected pollen also affects the taste of honey. Other factors such as soil quality and honey comb quality may change the taste of honey. On average light-colored honey has a mild flavor and darker color honey. There are about three hundred varieties of honey produced in the United States.

Caps that bees use to seal the honey in the honey combs can be used to make beeswax candles. / P>

For the health conscious, honey is an excellent substitute for white sugar.

Honey, which is still in the honeycomb has a more natural flavor, while the honey was extracted. Extracted honey works best for flavoring teas and cooking.

It is believed that honey is an excellent way to soothe sore throat, can help regulate blood pressure, burns, pressure sores, wounds and infectious. Beekeeping in different world regions

Many parts of the world are producers of honey and beeswax for medicines and food. You will find a lot of beekeeping in the United States, Asia, Africa and parts of Europe. Since beekeeping came from Europe and were modernized in the United States, how it is done is different and how it is taught is also different. Yet it is a very interesting way to see how different cultures train someone else to do beekeeping as a way of life and part of the culture. The cold is that the honey is used for most food in many cultures that use it in the celebration and religious occasions during the preparation of certain concoctions or meals and honey is used to sweeten. The Americans are usually in the business of beekeeping to produce honey for the supermarket and to be shipped to overseas markets and countries who do not have businesses that beekeeping is advanced enough mass to produce the quantity needed to be shipped abroad stores owned and operated in the United States as Whole Foods Market when carrying out certain brands.

Most overseas countries do not have the system of how the United States can produce en masse to a single product as honey, since we were able to effectively raise so that we can produce enough to meet the market needs until the season starts to produce again in the spring because the bees are dormant during the winter months and to start again in late March to early April, when the mating season for bees and fresh flowers are in abundance for them at the Food and pollination. The United States alone accounts showed that the majority of honey that is used when they provide supermarkets owned by American companies based in their stores and restaurants overseas.

Beekeepers could be watching hives every 7 to 8 Days generally making it the ideal time on the weekend to spend time. Hives do not need much to keep only one hour per day between the peak season around May to September. A good season can produce for a caretaker 60-100 pounds of honey and depending on how much of the costs of the buyer by the pound is what you go by what you will do for each crop you get. / P>

The most common annoyance for beekeepers during their harvest and maintaining hives are bumblebees are the big ugly black and yellow bees which are collected through the flowers the bees have these bees already visited and lived underground, so that they may constitute a hindrance to Beekeepers when they swarm from the beginning. Many beekeepers will move their hives around what is called migratory, which is one of the secrets to increase the production of honey and bees giving new delivery of flowers to pollinate and food, so that they can produce variations and lots of honey. / P>

Each batch produced can vary with each pollination, or when the hives and bees are rotated go to different flowers for this reason the honey may sometimes taste, as this is the type of flowers available to them at the time of migration.

How to evaluate the purchase of a machine Quilting

How to evaluate the purchase of a machine quilting guide, I took a simplistic approach to time, cost and depreciation. There are more models available scientific such as net present value and cash flow, but I wanted to provide a quick easy for those considering the purchase of a sewing machine and wanted to know how costs can be evaluated over time, and how long it would take to recover the costs incurred.

I took four values for costs, these represent the low-end, medium thanks to the upper end quilting machines. These values are $ 7,500, $ 10,000, $ 12,500 and $ 15,000. Time

the long periods of time to recover costs above the quilt machine. / P>

The payback time is the length of time to recover the costs of the quilting machine if it were to add a portion of the costs of each product quilt. Obviously if a product more quilts over a period of time, we could achieve a return on investment sooner.

The tables below illustrates the above factors of cost, time and recovery of more than 1 year to 5 years for each value range. The payback period shows various calculations that will be dependent on each quilters circumstances with regard to the number of quilts produced over a given period.

Table 1 Cost of the Year by Quilting Machine

Table1. Illustrates the annual costs for each sewing machine from 1 to 5 years.

Table 2. Watch how quilter has to charge to recover the costs of the quilting machine based on the production of 01 quilt per week during each period.

The above figures do not take into account all the interest charges you may have to pay for the financing of the sewing machine These additional costs should be included in the above figures. Neither the above figures provide tax benefits that can be charged to capital goods. The figures are just a quilt to illustrate how each product should contribute to the quilt cost of the machine and how to recover the costs of the machine quilt quilt in your price. A breakdown

base should be taken for all equipment used, materials and overhead costs such as rent, electricity. It goes on labor costs and the profit margin to arrive at the selling price quilt. According to the business model and sales potential and local market conditions, it would be subject to the balancing the benefits of various sewing machine efficiency and production. With the above figures, you can see how glance at the quilting machine costs can be amortized over different periods based on the results of a quilt a week.

Instructions for making soap professional tips

Soap

Making instructions are everywhere on the Internet. But the instructions are often complicated and difficult to follow. This article reviews the basics so that you can get an overview of the process and a better understanding of some of the instructions that you see.

First, you must understand that the soap is the result of a chemical process. Soap is the product of a combination of alkali and fats and oils. The most critical of that process is increasingly the proportions right. You must mix the amount of alkali with the quantity of oil.

Alkali we use is a form of lye. To bar of soap is sodium hydroxide. And no, you can not do laundry without soap. Now you can buy soap, which has already been done with the laundry and remelting. And you can use some plant extracts that have soap. But what we call the laundry and soap is a fat or oil.

Oils or fats we use to make soap natural can be any form of fat or oil. But very different oils produce different kinds of soap. The coconut oil, for example, produces soap with a lot of big, beautiful bubble. But coconut oil soap cleans so it removes oils from the skin if it considers drying. On the other hand, olive oil and soap is luxurious moisturizer, but it is very small bubbles. So what you do is combine different oils to produce a soap that is fair. Just right for you it is.

The art of making soap is to combine the ingredients in the right proportion.

Each type of oil and grease uses a different amount of lye soap in shooting. Fortunately, the cards have been developed that you just say how much laundry is necessary to transform each type of oil soap. We laundry

Digital Photography Vs Traditional Photgraphy

Digital photography can be one of the late 20th century, the most innovative technologies. It is about half the cost of traditional photography, with the results of equal or better quality. You waste nothing; There is no need films, and since you only print the pictures you want, digital photography is both cost-effective and environmentally friendly. Perhaps the most compelling aspect of digital photography, the idea is to show the images to people, wherever they are, provided they have a computer and an Internet connection. Photography

Photography is a

Popular pastime, hobby, or even a career for many people. Photography has come a long way since its early days and his popularity has not wavered. In fact, digital photography is becoming more popular and it is gradually replacing the photograph of the film, especially in the professional circles. Even for experienced photographers, the transition to digital capture brings with him an important learning curve.

The Digital Camera

A digital camera is, in fact, a small computer. The image quality varies from one device behind closed doors. The quality of digital cameras has increased over the years, but many people believe it is not as good as a regular camera yet. When you are buying a digital camera to keep in mind that it does not matter how much the camera cost or how big it is. Are you looking for the camera, you are satisfied, and that is what is most important. One of the things I like about digital cameras is that, unlike in the movies, you can reuse storage media repeatedly at no extra cost. If you have used a film camera, you remember how it is annoying that you could only store a few pictures on the film, without the ability to remove them once they were made.

The digital

In a sense, digital photography adds a new milestone for photography. It is no longer just photography, it is treated numerically after photography. The digital age has caused the greatest transformation in photography since photography was invented. Conclusion

Digital photography and traditional arts are complementary. They each have their place in the lives of amateur and professional photographers. Skills learned in traditional photography will certainly be passed on to the digital world. We can easily see that the world has room for photography for both digital photography and traditional photography. Let's just hope that the traditional and digital photographers can get the best out of both worlds and continue to produce great work. After all, digital photography is a tool for modernization in an ever-changing world.

Dowsing-Fact or Fiction

Responding to the question whether something is fact or fiction is very difficult. The reason is, there are people who believe and then there are those who feel so integrate science can not prove, it must be false. Speaking of dowsing is no different.

I grew up in the mountains of eastern Tennessee, where many superstitions have arisen over the years. There are many superstitions that distorts what I call my grandmother swears by. I am sure you have heard of many of them I will take the dowsing.

When I was a young boy all those years ago a lot of people in eastern Tennessee were very poor. They had to rely on their knowledge and skills rather than on science. One of these people is a dowser. I was lucky enough to know him quite well because he was a close friend of the family.

I saw him a day's walk around the lawn and pasture near his home with a funny looking stick in his hand. I ran and asked him over what he was doing and he ignored me and walked away. I thought I had done something to make him angry.

I went to his wife to inquire about what has been done and hew to find out how I might have offended him. She proceeded to explain to me that he was looking for a place to make a well. Naturally, I was very curious and asked if you show me how to do it. She proceeded to tell me how he could not simply say. It took a person, he said. He could only say of another man and he had to be one of his children or grandchildren. I do not remember which one. I remember that he did find water when he dug his property. I also remember several other wells, "witched." This was the common term in our region to find waste.

When I was a little older, I worked for a man who could take two sons and hold them in your hand and find the direction of flow to a stream or underground 's water pipe. I have never been so captivated by this method that the witching with water. That seemed easy to fake to me. However, I can not prove the man wrong.

For these people and others, there is no doubt that "dowser" or "witching" is a fact. I can not be 100% sure, but I have no reason to doubt what I saw. I know that not everyone has that ability. It gave rise to some sort of witchcraft only if it is secret.

Scientists have conducted several studies on the process of dowsing results without proving that it is a fact but not completely refute either. One of these tests were dowsers floor in a section of a two-storey building. Water was executed through a pipe on the ground floor and they were invited to the location of the water line. These tests were conducted over a period of two years, for a total of 843 tests. Of the 43 dowsers competing in this trial, he never found June 37 at an average of better than likely to be found. Prouve or invalidated? I do not have a clue.

I can only say that science can not prove or disprove that of which there is no substance. Maybe it has to be outdoors to avoid interfering with the electromagnetic field on earth. There are several factors, it can not be taken at random, trying to prove or disprove or superstitious acts such conclusions.

Fun things for teenagers to gather

Teenagers today are not interested in the same old style and the collection of coins. Teens want to raise something interesting and fun, and cool to show their friends. To do this, young people need to be creative. Collections can focus on a certain point, like bookmarks, or on a certain theme, like a baseball team. One of the reasons for collecting have remained popular during the generation, it is a hobby. The purpose of this paper is to discuss various things there is a fee for teenagers to gather.

Favorites

While this may seem like a collection only for adolescents who enjoy reading, bookmarks can be decorative as well as practical advice. A collection of bookmarks can be attached to one or padded post set up in the frames decorated. There is a wide variety of different types of bookmarks on the market; Commmoratives, souvenirs, those with inspirational writings, and other printed with images. The favorites are also available in a variety of materials from leather and plastic carton of cotton. Therefore, the favorites are an opportunity for the collection of life with few opportunities to become bored. Key chains

Key

Chains, like bookmarks, could be perceived as a mere decoration collection. I say this because, as I teenager collected key chains and thought it would be cool to exercise my entire collection of 60 major chains around something. I soon ended with shoulder and neck pain due to the weight I was ridiculous to wear around all day, every day. However, the collection of key chains can be a lot of fun especially since companies have started selling ring intelligent (and sometimes hilarious) sayings on them. It is important to discuss what you consider appropriate and inappropriate when it comes to the key chain sayings with your teen since some of the major chains carry sexual or topics related to drugs. Theme

Elements Theme

Articles I refer to what the collection to follow a basic idea. For example, medieval fantasy objects such as clothing, pewter figurines of wizards and dragons, posters of Olde English castles collection are all in a fantasy collector. Other themes are popular sports teams, butterflies and dragonflies, animals and points of celebrity. The thing to remember about collection points theme is often they become a part of the identity of the youth. Teens dive into the theme; He was wearing, decorate their rooms with her, even play PC games or watching movies and TV shows that involve the theme. Do not worry if your teen, it seems goes to the sea (to the extent that they are not stolen or injure themselves in some way), because they will most likely move from one topic to another in they mature. It is vital for adolescents to adopt a sort of hobby. Leisure occupied and keep teens out of trouble while giving them a sense of purpose and achievement. Collecting is an excellent pastime for teenagers, because almost any teenager can find something they enjoy collecting. Best of all, the search for additions to the collection can be a bonding experience adolescence and family. What can a parent and teen ask for?

Treasure Hunting 101

Buried treasure is everywhere. You can hunt most valuable of the world, things without even go far from home. Maybe your idea of buried treasure is a romantic. You think of a great brassbound chest full of gold and jewels, concealed by a black beard pirate on a single stretch of the coast. There are plenty of these treasures are still waiting for someone to find them. To begin with, there are fascinating stories of pirates gold, many of whom have been handed down to us from the date of the first Queen Elizabeth. Perhaps you would like to think of yourself as a deep-sea diver, wearing a helmet, rubber and lead-weighted boots agree. Under the seven seas are the hulks of hundreds of ships, some of which are known to have been carrying gold, silver, jewelry and coins worth when they sank. The men have spent fortunes on the lookout for these ships disappeared. Some shipwrecks have been found, and divers have at least part of the treasures they carried. But most of it has yet to find. Buried treasure is all around us, wherever we live. There is a famous story to illustrate this point. It was said by Dr. Russell H. Conwell, a minister in Philadelphia. People liked the story so he wove in a speech in which he called "Acres of Diamonds." He delivered the speech thousands of times, between 1900 and 1915, with huge audiences all over the United States. Much of the money he earned from "Acres of Diamonds" went to establish Temple University in Philadelphia. Here is the story

A rich Persian peasant named Ali Hafed was talking one day From a priest, who told him how the world was made and how precious metals and diamonds were created. He told Ali Hafed that if he had a diamond the size of his thumb, it might buy the county, and if he had a diamond mine, it could put her children on thrones by the power of his wealth. Ali Hafed was seized by a desire to own diamonds. He sold his farm in order to be free to look for them. He searched all over the known world, but without success. Finally, he drowned in despair.

One day, the man who bought the farm Ali Hafed noticed a curious glimmer of a stream on his land. He pulled out a large stone and took to the house with him. The old priest came to visit the successor Ali Hafed and saw the stone. "Has Ali Hafed back?" He asked the man. "No", was the answer. "Why do you ask that?" "Because this stone is a diamond!" The response was enthusiastic. In this way, discovered the diamond mines of Golconda, the most famous mines in antiquity. Dr. Conwell interpreted this finding to mean that Ali had Hafed remained at home and dug in his own cellar or under his own wheat fields, instead of misery, starvation and death in a foreign country, he should have "acres diamonds. "

Of course, you can not dig into your own cellar or in the lawn and expect to find diamonds. But without going too far from home, you can certainly find something you money, even if it has no monetary value. Any object of little interest, as an Indian arrow, a semi-precious stone, a relic of pioneer days misunderstood, is a form of treasure. Maybe there

Treasure is buried in your own attic or cellar. It may be a collection of old stamps, rare or the signing of this famous man on a letter hidden in a box.

Treasure can be suspended on your walls, maybe an oil painting by an old master whom nobody has ever bothered to look closely. Some of the greatest works of art are taken out of homes or homes where nobody can store recognized their immense value. Art galleries and museums to watch these "discoveries." Sometimes, the painting is valuable hidden under a useless. Experts in the use of X-rays to see if there is an old photograph in the paint.

Maybe your treasure is buried a book - a first edition of a famous writer like Dickens or Thackeray. Every now and then a priceless first edition runs in a second-hand bookstore or emerging from a box in the basement of someone. So you see, buried treasure need not be locked in a trunk and hidden beneath the ground. It may be at hand and, like the farmer Ali Hafed "Acres of Diamonds," you can be dominant. These things do happen in real life.

Captain Kidd's Treasure or yours?

On a summer day in 1795, three to 16 years, boys from a fishing village in Nova Scotia rowed in Oak Island, Mahone Bay, for a picnic and a swim. After their swim they began looking for a quiet place to lie in the sun. Instead, they came in a fascinating hole in the ground and set in motion a search that has happened since for Captain Kidd's buried treasure.

Captain Kidd was a privateer, commissioned by the Great Britain (which was at war with France and the Netherlands) to launch raids on enemy ships. Those who did not like him said he was a pirate, and the British government hanged him in 1701. But his treasure, the spoils of hundreds of french vessels and the Netherlands, has never been found. Long

the coast of Nova Scotia, there were stories that he had buried a large part of his fortune on Oak Island. The proximity of the port of Lunenburg has been a favorite meeting place for pirates. Sensible

People scoffed at the stories, as has been the subject of three boys - we are talking about Anthony Vaughan, Daniel McGinnis and Jack Smith. They were visiting Oak Island just because it was a nice place for a picnic. After their swim, they looked around a quiet place away from the coast where they could be out of the wind direction. A hundred feet inland they walked in a clearing sunny. There, they made their breakthrough. As part of a

Live oak was a depression in the ground, obviously man-made. More than one branch of the tree hung a rusty chain. It was the type of channel you can use if you were lowering a heavy chest in the hole - perhaps a treasure chest. Anthony, Daniel and Jack did not tell their story to anyone when they went home that night. The next day, they borrowed shovels and picks and rowed in Oak Island. They widened to 10 feet in the sand. There, they discovered some heavy wooden planks. These boards were too heavy to be lifted. In addition, the wet sand is "beginning to cave

That night, the three boys to their fathers talked about what they had found. At first their stories were treated as a joke, but finally, fathers rowed to the island themselves. Indeed, the hole was there. Without telling anyone else, fathers are returned to Oak Island and over again. Whenever they dug, the hole would cave in. But they finally succeeded in removing planks side. They used to support the sides of the hole.

In 1803, using only simple tools, they fell 35 feet. Each time, the sand would cave, and every time they dig out again. But one day, they discovered something new, a stone slab with strange words cut in the top. Until then, it was late afternoon.

"Let's come back tomorrow," said one of the diggers. The others agreed.

They returned the next day. At last they were close to the treasure! At their astonishment the pit was again full of water. Everything that had been dug for nothing. Men

Went home disappointed. For the first time, they tell their stories. Other fishermen rushed off the island. There was a hole, all right, but they could not figure any way to maintain free water.

Over the years, such as the spread of history, visitors coming to Mahone Bay. As quickly they dug, the water rushed in. But in 1849 a syndicate of wealthy Canadians who gathered some expensive drilling equipment. This time, they would get the treasure. One day

Drillers save a hedgehog on the end of their line of drilling to help them bore deeper. Up on the auger came three links in a chain of gold, fragments of a wooden drum coconut and some mats, which is usually found in the South Seas, not in Nova Scotia.

That seemed to be a good indication that the Treasury is at the bottom of the hole. The union brought in pumps, but even these, working ceaselessly, do keep out of the water.

Then someone discovered that a whole network of tunnels leading from the shore treasure hole. The workers tried to connect these tunnels. Each time, after closing a tunnel, another was discovered.

Finally, the union gave in disgust. Anyone who has hidden treasure, which did not want someone else to get to it!

The mystery of Oak Island is still pending. Every ten or fifteen years, someone goes back to Oak Island and try to find the treasure. Nobody succeeded, for water is poured into still faster than it can be pumped.

Find The Inca's Treasure

"It really is a god!" Dit the Incas of Peru in admiration when the Spanish explorer Pizarro set foot on their shores in the 16th century. For lacked their folktales predicted a blond, blue-eyed man would one day to take a decision on them? And do not reply to this description Pizarro?

True enough, but they were quickly, saying: "It really is a devil!" For Pizarro, these Indians with their ancestral culture are entitled to no respect. Only savages, to be looted of their gold and silver for the glory of the leaders of Spain.

Throughout Peru to another, Pizarro destroyed the ancient cities, turning them into smoking ruins. He took half a billion dollars of glittering treasure which he returned to Spain.

Finally, as a crowning insult, he kidnapped the Inca leader Atahualpa and held him for ransom. The Incas, in which their king was almost a god, paid 20 million dollars in gold and silver for his return. But for political reasons Atahualpa was executed.

The Incas knew they must keep the rest of their treasure safe from the "god." To ensure their safety, they buried inside the crater of an extinct volcano, according to the legends who have come to this day.

The Secret of Treasure safe until one of the soldiers Pizarro, Spanish Valverde named, decided to abandon his master and brutal stay in Peru.

Valverde Inca married a woman. Although he was a foreigner, she told him the secret of the treasure of the Incas. One day she led away in the mountains, through narrow canyons, and finally in the crater of a volcano.

There, it took an arched opening on the side of the crater and the doors wide open.

"Treasures of the Incas!" Valverde gasped, almost blinded by what he saw. Inside the opening of the statues of gold were idols, the plates of gold and silver, the vessels of solid gold, piles of coins, burned with ankle gemstones and the huge piles of silver bars. He held

The dazzling Inca treasure. It has been a long journey home and Valverde could only bring a little treasure, but what he had with him, made him rich.

Before his death, he set up a card. On it he sketched, as it might best, the road to the treasure of the Incas. This card is passed from hand to hand and, in 1857, came into the possession of Richard Spruce, a British botanist.

First joint gold - popularity endure?

The First Wife

Gold Coin Series proves to be one of the most popular in the mint offers. So far, three rooms have been freed and have exhausted all in a few hours of the offer. With pieces scheduled to be released until at least 2016, many collectors were the first to ask whether the popularity of the series survive.

The First Gold Coin Joint Program was established by Public Law 109-145 at the First Spouses honor of the United States. Because all spouses to date have been women, the parts are sometimes referred to as the First Lady of coins.

Each room includes a portrait of the First Spouse on the obverse. The reverse design of a single representative of the wife of life and work. In cases where a president has served without a first spouse, the obverse include an image of freedom that has been used on coins in circulation during the President's term.

So far, coins were released to honor Martha Washington, Abigail Adams, and Thomas Jefferson's Liberty. The mint command strict limits on the coins in an attempt to reach the widest possible dissemination. The limit orders for the first two of five pieces of each option per household. After quick to sell these pieces, reducing the limit to mint one of each option per household for the third proposed piece. Even with the reduction limit, the documents yet exhausted in a few hours. Does popularity

Endure?

Several things can occur, which have a bearing on the future popularity of the series. First, a part of the reason for the rapid exit of selling was relatively low authorized mintage of 40,000 per unit. In the coming years, the U. S. Mint does not have the capacity to increase the authorized mintage. A greater mintage allowed to prevent the sale of a short, which so far have added another attraction to the series.

Secondly, a lot of the First Spouse Gold coins that were bought were immediately offered for sale on the secondary market. It was common practice for speculators to offer immediately sold parts online auction sites for large premiums. If these premiums are unable to prove sustainable, the speculators who have accelerated the sale of output may look like a new piece to target.

Thirdly, the series has a very long duration. Since coins will be released at a rate of only four per year, the current passes through the release schedule for 2016. Over the years, collectors who had originally intended to bring together a complete set could have misplaced their attention to other series or later mint offerings.

Although it seems likely that the popularity of the series on the decline coming years, that does not get them out as an investment and collectible. The coins released so far have featured beautiful and unique designs and honored the achievements of our First spouses. Patient collectors with a long-term horizon of the collection will continue to be rewarded for years to come.

After using wire Sirdar A wire Snob No More

I did not really notice at first; Just sort crept on me. But, I turned into a yarn snob. I found myself using only hand-dyed yarn for all my projects and by refusing to knit with no "bottom of the market." Sirdar son showed me the error of my ways.

I knit since I can remember. When I was a child, my mother would give me opportunity and ends at her knitting projects, and I do make those leftover yarn; So long as I had yarn. Now I think back to my early days knitting; The sweaters, scarves and mittens knitted wire with a mixture of types in a multitude of colors. It never bothered me that I had to use what I can get my hands on, but as I grew up I could afford to buy my own balls and tails son, and I want to knit something someone else, except me, wear.

A few years ago, I discovered hand-spun and hand-dyed yarn. It was love at first sight. With these beautiful son so much fun. I want to go all the local stores and the sons of the sons festival looking for rare and unusual son. Without fully realizing it, I was only using these hand-dyed yarn alien. I would dismiss my son used years before as rather boring and "commercial". In all honesty, I turned into a yarn snob.

The awakening was when I asked crocheted slippers for a friend of a friend of marriage. The dress of the bride was pure white, and no natural fibers, I found were "quite white." With the sound of wedding bells rapidly approaching I tried, in desperation, a wire to match. I sent my son to store, and is where it was suggested that I try a son Sirdar called "Snuggly Bubbly '. I did not really know a lot about Sirdar son, but I learned that the company in English and has been producing wire for eons.

The color of thread for the wedding dress perfectly. The name of the Sirdar son was very relevant; It is incredibly soft, easy to handle, and it is perfect for making hats for babies, blankets, mittens and boots. It is also a very hypo allergenic wires that can be washed. Just

, if you know, the Sirdar Snuggly Bubbly nylon thread is 100% and a weight DK, but you can take it as a sport weight crochet work. It comes in 50-gram ball with a length of 140 meters. Sirdar < p> This son was very amusing. There is sufficient texture to sons that it is not as slippery as it could be. It's also long, but unlike handspun flames, these curves / bumps are evenly spaced. It was easy to work with - I find it a very 'bouncy' son, so it was easier on my hands and wrists, and I finished the bride slippers in no time . I will certainly

Sirdar be using over again in the future and I will use other that are not woolen yarn aside and hand dyed. Me, a yarn snob ? Never.

This article will give you some tips for getting started knitting happily in no time. You do not have to frustrate you with a complicated scheme to do something you can get excited.

GREAT USE MATERIALS
Even a very simple garment can be wonderful if it is welded superb materials. Wool is by far the most satisfactory knitting with fiber for beginners. It is resilient, it is natural elasticity, and it is in pardoning a beginner various tensions. And of course, this is a wonderful variety of colors and styles. Wool weight is good for beginners -- and nothing less than you lose patience, pending the outcome. A good yarn, you will find in many stores is Lamb's Pride, a wool / mohair mix that is strong and bright, colorful and just fabulous. Wool / silk blends are also good for beginners, but can be expensive.

Cotton knit should be a little tighter than wool, to go a little smaller needle as a general rule. Your knitting shop will be happy to recommend a good size of the needle thread you choose.

I strongly recommend against acrylic yarns -- it is difficult to your hands and not satisfactory, even if it feels Pleasant in the store.

(In fact, at the beginning, it should not be too much focus on gauge, which is the number of dots per inch that you receive. Your first projects are to develop your own pace as machinery and to make the two fundamental points of the second kind.)

START WITH A "NO-PATTERN" PATTERN

For your first projects, simple knit pieces that do not depend on a lot of action or accuracy. You might knit a beautiful pashmina stole style -- just cast about 200 to 250 stitches and knit in garter stitch (which means you knit every row, no soil) until 24 "or so wide. You can prevent this by Dull has a thread to work with you adore or working in several bands wonderful colors. (If you use multiple colors, make sure they are all of the same brand and type of yarn. In other words, you want 3-05 skeins of Lamb's Pride or any other specific threads you choose, in different colors.) With < p> circular needles, you can make a large tubular scarf that pulls up to cover your head when it is cold. (Like an oversized collar, without a sweater part). Again, cast about 200 to 250 points, but this time join them in a circle (your store can help knitting), and then just knit until you have about 24 "and cast Takeoff. Remember, you want a nice, gentle son if you create something to be worn by your face. You also knit each round on it, but because it is circular knitting, you end up with plain old knitting (called stockinette) instead of garter stitch. Stockinet loops on the edge, unlike garter stitch, which is flat. Stockinet curtains also a little better.

If you are ready to branch beyond mere rectangles and tubes, check my lens on Squidoo easy for knitting patterns hipsters , which includes resources for any son of online stores to a new book with a surprising pattern knitted Mohawk. Happy

Knitting!

How Solder Silver-Tips for

Complete Novice

When I was first interested in learning to weld silver, I was very intimidated by the magnitude of the effort not to talk about the flame. I started very small with little expectations on the outcome. My biggest advice for novices is not expected to go the way you think it should. Take your time and learn what they do and will do. Be prepared to melt things are not repairable. You will learn your best lessons from your worst mistakes.

For my first foray into small silver solder, I purchased powered mini butane torch; A magnesia soldering block; Easy to solder wires; Some 18 Gauge, open jump rings (8 or 9 mm are the easiest to manage at the beginning); Pickling; tongs copper and flows. You will also need a pot of water for quenching, safety glasses, a pair of tweezers cold and a pair of wire cutters. Always wear safety glasses.

To begin, set your block magnesia (I prefer these coal because of the lower cost, they take less time to heat and they cool faster), in an open space with nothing around flammable. Push your sleeves if they are long and tie back your hair and if it is long. It's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the operation of the welding torch before your first jump ring. Enable and disable several times until you can do easily. Take a leap

own ring and ensure that the ends match exactly, and they are in contact with each other. Solder joints will make a solid, but it will not fill the gaps. Apply at the location of the stream you want to join. When the weld substance will follow the flame and where the traffic flow. Do not put flows where you do not want to go to the weld.

Few words about the flows are in order. There is a lot to choose from. I use either a paste or liquid, the flow of streams based on what I want to do. Flow has two objectives; To help the flow and welding to help protect your money firescale. When you heat your sterling at soldering temperatures, you make some of the copper alloy (92.5% silver, 7.5% copper) to the surface. Copper is essentially what makes silver tarnish quickly and is responsible for firescale. Firescale shows as a black coating on the surface of the pound sterling. A number of "how-to" on the silver brazing tells you to thin the entire piece in order to limit firescale. But it sometimes makes welding go where you do not want and it is not always fun trying to remove the weld later. Paste stream stays where you put liquid and it is not always stay. But paste flux can be very hard and vitreous after heating and requires more time in the brine to remove it all. You will not really a problem with your first jump ring brazing project and may use any type of flow as you like, but they are a number of things to remember for later; If there is a more late. I took the "bug" of law and have not looked back.

Now, take your cutter and cut off a small piece of lean easy. About an eighth of an inch should be more than enough. Placer welding on the block magnesia. Place the joint of the ring jump on top of the weld, so that it forms a cross. Turn off the lights directly on your workspace and use only room lighting. Light your torch. Carrying the torch slowly leap closer to the ring so as not to explode jumping out of the ring welding.

If you use a paste flows and define the jump ring quickly descend on the weld, you can dry a bit and the two stick together. If you use a liquid flow, do I recommended in the preceding paragraph.

Vivid illumination not your job, you will be better able to see the changes in the color of the metal flow and because it Heater. Learn more about these color changes now will help you later when you are more ambitious projects.

When the field of magnesium block that the jump ring is placed on the ring and jumping and solder reach the melting point of solder, solder flow. Move the flame around the circumference of the ring jump. As you can see, it starts to turn pinkish, the flame focus primarily on the joint. You will see the jump ring fall on the upper surface of the block and see the weld become very bright and the flow of reach. You have to look quickly to the latter part. Remove the flame as soon as you see these two things. Let the flame too long and you melt in your jump ring a beautiful ball. The first time I made this mistake, I had a great ball from scrap money. They may be useful in some models. Also, remember that after the welding flame, the flame directly to take away; No side. Otherwise, the solder will follow the flame over the jump ring and coat part of your ring.

A quick word on the heat sink. Everything affects your work absorbs heat from the flame and keep away from your work; Including the air in the room. Never try to weld together by something dangling in the air. I know one person who has tried and failed. You can not (and do not want) heat all the air in your work room at soldering temperatures.

Collect the jump ring with pliers, and the cold-dunk of the mash in the water. He will fly and spit a little. Dry the jump ring and inspect join. A small bump at the joint is acceptable. A large capital is not, unless you want to be an element of the design. Ideally, the seals should not be obvious. It will take some experimentation with different gauge wire welding and amounts to get to the point where you can join almost invisible. Take your Copper

tongs and place jumping in the ring pickling solution. Pickle is fundamentally a week that reduces the acid copper firescale in a white coating that can easily be polished off. Do not discard the brine. Even though it is a relatively weak acid, and it will put you burn holes in your clothes. Not immediately, though. They tend to appear after you wash. You have to use tweezers of copper, because any ferrous (iron bearings) metal that comes into contact with the solution, it will produce and you arrive at copper plating on your money. Remove the jump ring with copper also pliers. Rinse thoroughly your dip in the water. Or a pot of water with baking soda added to her standing completely neutralize the acid.

If you do not want a hard, bright, glossy polish rings on your jump, you can use a brass brush Remove white coating. Dip brass soft brush in a solution of dish soap and water and rub thoroughly jump ring. The series takes brass on the deposit money. If you want a brilliant shine, you have to use a wheel grinding somehow charged with a polish.

Even someone who has been brazing money for a long period can learn something new; Usually the disk. Recently, I learned that you can not brass for welding money. I did some research and learned why. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Silver solder alloy is a thin silver, copper and zinc. So if you try to solder brass to the pound sterling, zinc and copper in the brass put the money to be welded, basically. And it only looks like a mess. You can, however, the solder copper money as I did without this problem. Also, you can solder copper brass. I tried to combine copper, brass and sterling without any chance at all.

So have fun. Get out and light the torch! In no time, you will be moving on to bigger and better things.

A brief history of pearls

Beading

: A Short History If it beads art has been around almost as long as men have always been. From the time an old man found a tank or natural stone with a puncture and strung on a fig leaf to wear around their necks, pearls have been popular in one form or another. Whether these objects have been brought as a religious symbol, adornment for personal or permeate for special powers does not matter. Bead balance is the first form of beads, and it persists to the present.

There are thousands of years, the tribes of ancient man strung hollow animal bones on a fiber. It is estimated that the port bone of the animal is only to protect animals or fill with the spirit of the animal, which makes them less vulnerable humans. When early humans developed the tools necessary to drill another object, creating a hole, and then many questions were strung for many different purposes. Wednesday shells, seed pods, nut shells, mollusk shells freshwater, and even teeth and bones of animals have been found by archaeologists with man-made hole. Some people real pearls made of clay and others have learned to add pigment for the color of pearls. As man has progressed, they began to glaze clay beads.

There are about 3,000 years, the Egyptians have learned to make glass and the next logical step was to create glass beads. They have raised the art of beads at a high level that is still admired for its beauty and design elements. The Egyptians to become qualified adding pigments for glass handicrafts very colorful beads. They combined these colorful glass beads with precious and semi-precious gemstones and precious metals, such as gold and silver jewelry to fashion pieces that were spectacular. Perle became a highly valued commodity, so much so that they have been used in commerce and exported through the ancient world.

Other cultures embraced the art of making heel. Most people think of China when they think of an abacus, or counting part of a computing device that uses beads which are hanging on wires that were strung on a wooden frame. The Babylonians were actually the first to use an abacus, but was drawn in the dust or sand and pebbles were used instead of beads. The counter abacus with ropes and beads can be credited to the Egyptians, or former Indian people, possibly. China has played an important role in the evolution and development of the abacus.

Romans traded beads throughout their empire, and even the ancient Celts and Vikings bead artisans who were used to decorate the beads themselves in the form of necklaces, amulets and bracelets. Ancient Indians beads used as personal adornments, in religious ceremonies and to decorate clothing. Talon Native American folk art is all the rage today, and an important source of income for many people. Almost everyone has seen turquoise watch bands or Native American beaded necklaces and belts. Beading

was and still is a part of Native American Society. Many tribes Marquise companies that are sacred to women. To join the society, a girl had to be recruited, and then she was tutored and carefully trained in the art of heel. The process of making the quills is sacred, but the finished piece -- to be worn or used by someone -- was not considered sacred. The product was of secondary importance to the manufacturing process. Emphasis was placed on the thoughts and prayers and work, and not on the finished piece -- very different from Western society, which tends to the value of the finished product and ignores the creative process. There Who

contemporary beaders report that the beads is almost a spiritual experience for them and to embrace the art of creation as much as the finished work, focusing on perfecting the art rather than a race to complete the final product. Carol Willoughby at BEAD ON COTTAGE, http://www.thebeadcottage.com/, is an example of a person who appreciates the spiritual side of pearls as much as the finished product.

Brawny breezes bring migrants and triggers

Bird Bonanza

A night of strong northerly winds and that the dawn of a calm and sunny morning provided near perfect conditions for the movement of fall migration. Never one to waste an opportunity, I grabbed binoculars and headed to prove my theory.

Trail along the river temperature was crisp, the action of observing a bit slow on the side. As a result of the night wind, the leaves were plentiful on the trail. Even soft walking, spreadsheets heard birds singing a little tricky. However, as the sun seeped through the trees, warming the undergrowth, chirps and cheeps collected. On the migrant side, a band of merry American Robins were actively exchange tree top perch of the opportunity to flee around the forest floor. I saw them for a few minutes and thought, they seemed particularly good one from the other, back and chattering as if attending a fine social. The power source must have been abundant.

A little farther on the track, I detected 05 hours Hermit solitary, quietly going about their business. By their behavior and attitude, you never know they were from the same family as robins. Their behavior is discreet, they moved slowly, song or without appeal. As I watched the thrushes, I became aware of the muezzin in the treetops over me. Looking back, I saw the wing flicking nervous which can be hatchlings. They are not singing, just whispering honor their tickets. After a few moments, I binocular views and identified two Ruby - crowned and golden crowned warblers. It amuses me to watch hatchlings that are continually made fountains and restless in their search for insects. As I almost

The biggest turning point in the river, the woods gave way to fields of weeds, and I was rewarded by tens of migrants Passerines. The most obvious and most were white Sparrows throat. Even if they were actively feeding, there was no lack of clarity whistled song "Poor Saturday Peabody, Peabody, Peabody" sounded repeatedly. If you live north of the American border, white throat singing "Oh, Sweet Canada, Canada, Canada", or if I have been informed! Whatever the interpretation, it is pleasant and joyful.

Few other migrants were mixed with the herd sparrows, including the White-crowned Sparrows and Savannah Sparrows. Not to be outdone, our resident Song Sparrows could be heard throughout the runway. I can tell you that they are one of my favorites, because they do not play hide and seek with me. They are facing a tone bird. Pish or whistle and Song Sparrow hop front and center to meet its three note the introduction, followed by musical notes very pleasant.

Noting that had escaped a few hours, I refused to make my way home. I felt quite happy, the typical result of the good birds. The winds of last night, the trail was greeted with a heavy concentration of leaves, and as I walked along shuffle, I started my feet through them. Shortly afterwards, I was kicking leaves with abandon, just having a great time. Yes, I was very relaxed. And then, without warning, as I kicked in a lot of colors of autumn leaves, A FEATHERED BOMBE exploded AT MY FEET!

I accidentally disturbed American Woodcock off! What a bonanza! I do not know what we were most surprised. I know he gave my course, a nervous system infection. Even with the shock of surprise, it took only a millisecond to identify the bird. A glimpse of the unique form of chunks, wings round barred head, and a killer bill was all it took. I did not hear the muezzin wing noise typical of the woodcock is probably abruptly as it flew, but then, the blood pounding in my veins may have dulled the sounds normal flight. What a thrill!

Although it is not uncommon to see a woodcock trail along the river, it's not a bird ho-hum by any means. An American Woodcock is certainly an honor for me to birds. The bear is by nature night, but I saw a lot of wandering around in the daylight. The path of the river, I saw that in the shaded, shallow gullies that run beside the runway. These gullies collect rain, which is temporary streams. As the water evaporates, it leaves muddy fields. These mild and wet spots provide ideal habitat for hungry woodcocks, which feed by pushing their long and flexible bills in the soft earth in search of goodies.

Until now, I never saw a black bear on the trail. Had it been rooting around in the leaves in search of insects? Was taking a nap under the cover of leaves? Overnight there was no traffic on foot or bicycle on the runway, so that the birds could have spent much time in the leaf litter, unaware that he was in danger of being trampled. For some reason, woodcock was there and gave me an exhilarating experience.

I believe that I will come back tomorrow to revive a little more leaves, but I doubt that I will be blessed with another explosion of the woodcock. Still, you never know what you might be surprised when you find a bird to go walking, to better understand your binoculars and get out there! Good Birding!
